I.M. Kartavtsov’s Bio-Bibliographic Index “Our Losses in 1928”

The index ofobituaries “Ourlosses in 1928”, compiled by a famous bibliographer and genealogist, I.M. Kartavtsov (1895-1971), is published for the firsttime. The text, deposited in the Russian State Library’s Manuscript Department, continues similar lists for
1918-1927, published in the journal “Scientific Worker” and in the “Bibliographic Yearbook”. The list contains bio-bibliographic information about 117 scientists of various specialties: geologists, historians, educators, physicians, geographers, biologists, chemists, soil scientists, process engineers, mechanical engineers, etc.
