Science and Technology in Photographs in the Pages of the Pravda Newspaper: 1941-1945

The article is devoted to the visualization of science and technology issues in the photographs in the pages of the Pravda newspaper during the War, Pravda having been the
main Sovietperiodical with the largest circulation and a strong influence ofthe information
published in this newspaper on the populace. Photography is described as an influential
medium, enjoying a high level of trust among the audience. The article analyzes the
Pravda’s visual content as a whole while the photographs of science and technology are
analyzed chronologically and by their genres.
