Academician E.E. Milanovsky as a Researcher into the Geology of the Caucasus and a Historian of Geological Sciences. (In Commemoration of the Centenary of His Birth)

The article is devoted to the creative activity of academician Evgeniy Milanovsky, in the field of studying the geology of the Caucasus and the history of geological sciences. Attention is focused on his contribution to the study of the geological structure, tectonic and neotectonic development, geomorphology, volcanism, and other issues of the geology of the Caucasus. Brief biographical information about E.E. Milanovsky is provided, along with annotations of his main fundamental works on the geology of the Caucasus and the creative biography of outstanding geologists.
