Round Table Meeting on Science during the War Years

On June 11, 2025, a roundtable discussion on "Science During the War" was held at the State Historical Museum as part of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The event was organized by the Federal Archival Agency (Rosarkhiv) and the All-Russian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Affairs (VNIIDAD). Participants in the roundtable included representatives of Rosarkhiv, VNIIDAD, the Institute of Russian History of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IRI RAS), the Archives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation (RGANTD), the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), the Research Institute (Military History) of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Research Institute (VI) VAGSh VS RF), and the S.I. Vavilov Institute of History, Russian Academy of Sciences (IHES RAS), and others. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the role of science, scientists, and scientific organizations in achieving Victory, as well as current issues of preserving and studying the documentary heritage of the Great Patriotic War.
