Rare Photos from the Archive of Professor D.P. Grigoriev

The article is devoted to rare photos from the personal archive of Professor D.P. Grigoriev, which show the active participation of Russian geologists (crystallographers, mineralogists, stratigraphers, and specialists in the search and exploration of solid mineral deposits) in international conferences of the highest level. An analysis of the biographies of
geologists from Professor D.P. Grigoriev’s circle reveals the deep connection between
academic science, university education, and industrial activities. The article is dedicated
to the anniversaries of the Russian Mineralogical Society and the Russian Academy of
Sciences.
