From the History of the Russian Mineralogical Society: a Conference That Never Happened

The article contains the materials related to preparation for the All-Union Geological Conference in 1950-1953 (the inception report ofthe steering committee and the reviews by Members of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Academicians) A.G. Betekhtin, D.S. Belyankin, A.N. Zavaritsky and other geologists) from the personal archive ofProfessor D.P. Grigoriev at the Russian Mineralogical Society. The conference could have led to new repressions but did not happen due to I.V. Stalin’ death. These materials are being published for the first time.
