History of Medicine in the Kuy by shev Oblast during the Great Patriotic War in Visual Archival Sources

This article analyzes visual sources illustrating medicine in the Kuibyshev Oblast during the Great Patriotic War. The photographs allow viewers to visualize the doctors, orderlies, and medical scientists of the wartime; and indoor premises of the evacuation hospitals in the rear and wounded soldiers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation. The illustrated charts of the data concerning the wounded or those undergoing treatment provide statistical information. The few schemes we have discovered demonstrate the inventions of the Kuibyshev Oblast doctors during the war. The visual sources were found in the Russian State Archive in Samara, Central State Archive of the Samara Oblast, and the Samara Oblast State Archive of Socio-Political History.
